I don't
recall
if I saw it
or felt it
the suns first rays on my pillow
and I stumble back into awareness
I roll over to see you
not yet joining the day
and I wonder
who will you be this morning?
the lover
the fighter
the dreamer
the closer
the maker of drama
the one that rises above
will you choose
strength over sensitivity
or the strength of sensitivity?
will you need to control
or enjoy the flow of uncertainty?
will you see with your heart
or through their critical eyes?
who will you be?
your eyes open wide
who will I be?
