Anointed
By David Stanley Bell

Anointed in the flow
waves that wash upon the shore
feeding the fire ever more

Bodies that dare
hearts that soar
surrender to the wind
the breath blowing through the hair
whispering desire
crying for release
the taste so sweet

For in this dance
the night will flow
to day and night again
in rhythms
in cycles of ecstasy

Father Sky and Mother Earth
entwine in the autumn storm
shower us in their mist
of creation
ever changing, ever new

Refreshed in healing
is flesh that hungers
for the touch of eternity
