Garden Of Me
By David Stanley Bell

seeding
feeding
weeding
nurturing the soil
with my hands
I was the heat
that scorched the land
I am the gentle rain
that tickles the leaves
satisfies the soulful thirst
with the warmth of love
quiet of the mind
I release the grip of illusion
and paint the earth
with caressing fingertip brushstrokes
sighs of desire
breathing life into my dreams
each day I watch them grow
I reap
I enjoy
I am nourished
worthy
to taste the magnificence
to drink the light
the sweet expression
of the Divine
loving
laughing
living
dreams or doubts
fears or faith
I get what I accept
making real what I choose
joyful thoughts
harmonious tomorrows
in my hands
I will catch the sunrise
and feed the soil
weed what is no longer true
seed the pathway to eternity
