Indian Goddess
By David Stanley Bell

the downpour slows
ceases
a mist grows
in the sweltering night
above the desert gravel
steam
rising
to chase the fleeing storm

through the fog
i see a shape
a shadow
a contour
saunters
slowly
toward me
clearer
the lines
the curves
cleared
refined
I see your face
your hair
the gentle pastel wisps
of an Oklahoma sunset
your eyes
gentle
glowing
sultry
slowly burning
from a fire
deep within
your lips
ripe and moist
enticing to harvest
the gentle curves of your cheeks
satin
sensuous

i stand
eyes wide
falling jaw
rising heart within my throat
knees
slowly buckle
i kneel before
an Indian goddess
i bow
What do you require
of one that adores you?
I wish to pay you homage
worship you
What
do you desire?
