Prayer
By David Stanley Bell

This is my prayer
that we will lower our walls
long enough to realize
the world is a beautiful place
That we will trust long enough
to realize we are trustworthy
That we will stop playing roles long enough
to realize that our power comes from being ourselves
That we will stop chasing illusions long enough
to realize the powerful clarity of truth
That we will put down our addictions and obsessions
long enough to realize what we really need
is to give love and feel love
That we will release our anger long enough
to realize that we need to cry
and heal

If I’ve erred
I’ve erred on the side of love
the choices I made
the trust that I gave
making some where there was none?
In the face of uncertainty and fear
I erred on the side of love
and I pray
that love may find it’s way
back to me
