The River
By David Stanley Bell

mountain to ocean
the wind sings so sweet
moist kisses on my cheeks
jasmine embraces
clouds float upon the blue
the river cools my feet
smells so sensual
tastes so passionate
the goddess of the river
is taking me down
her song
resonates through my body
over smooth round stones
she keeps flowing
eyes close in surrender
dripping tears of pleasure
she lifts my roots
and I flow with her
into the salty sunset
she kisses me good night
and I drift into a dream
