Time And Space
By David Stanley Bell

Behold the city skyline
as shadows fall
on square pegs in round holes
harsh lines against the mountains and trees

mankind forces into straight lines
where nature branches out
flows in serpentine routes
rolls, rises
juts in mysterious angles
in its journey through space

mankind has forced even time
into the linearity of his liking
from deadline to deadline
where nature knows cycles
rhythms and seasons
spiraling into eternity

in walking the Earthen path
the next step in time and space
is never the same as the last
