We sleep, we dream
We wake, we share
some dreams are lived
in days of sunshine
some dreams are completed
only when we surrender
to that final sleep
What does it mean to die?
other than the greatest
and final initiation
a spiritual transition
Treading over
well worn cobblestones
of sleep
Only this time
the veil is broken...
What joy awaits
as the light of loving acceptance
embraces the soul
frees the mind
and we see
Our true nature
Our true beauty
So what is there to fear?
for He was betrayed
despised and vilified wrongly
He remains the greatest gift of God
for He SO loves His children
His secret kingdom awaits
We, who are left behind
as the final breaths approach
Heralding in a new beginning
agonised with grief and loss
Would cry with gladness
if the veil was lifted
and we could really see
the welcome that awaits us
the moments may seem
so cruel, so extreme
that battle against surrender
against that painful separation
leaving us with empty arms
and futures seem stolen
But they are only safely redefined
So strive no more
for this is your birthright
this your eventuality
your gift, your blessings
for a long, faithful path
a final resting place
disrobed of fear
and dressed in the light
The glorious, warm and loving
presence of God
So rest assured
surrender any fear
and let the peace of the angels
sing a new song
into your precious heart
You are very much loved here
as well, are you very loved there
The comfort of universal love
The bliss of eternal belonging
are yours .... awaiting
And so it is
