As children
we loved the stories and the legends shared at bedtime or
around the campfire. It is the classic way to combine entertainment
with lessons on life. As adults, we still love the stories
but we also love to find a quote, a short assembly of words
that can inspire us or set a tone for our day.
I have always loved to hear profound messages shared in
just a few words. The wisdom section of my website is a
collection of stories, quotes from famous people, short
samplings of wisdom that and wisdom from Native American
spirituality which have helped me my integrating these ideas
into my own.
There
is nothing I can tell you
that you do not already know.
There is no question that you can ask me
that you yourself cannot answer.
You have just forgotten. ~ David Littlewood (from
'Start To Live') ~
Your
vision will become clear
only when you look into your heart ...
Who looks outside, dreams.
Who looks inside, awakens. ~ Carl Jung (1875-1961),

Observations
from the Passionate Path
by
David Stanley Bell
"A mind,
unconnected to the heart,
can be a terrible thing." ~David Stanley Bell ~
"No Guru or Master
can teach you anything that isn't already inside you.
They can help you in seeing what you are not seeing, in
awakening to your true nature.
We can bring experts into our lives, but you are the authority
on your life.
No-one can think your thoughts or make changes in your life
but you." ~David Stanley Bell ~
"Once we have
become a Master at some stage of development,
it is time to become the student again." ~David Stanley Bell ~
"The difference
between how we want to be
and how we actually behave is our awareness and our fears.
Fears bind us to old habits like glue
in the regions of ourselves where our true voice should
be speaking.
We find our true selves as we become fearless.
Fearis one of the most popular means of control.
We can only be controlled by consent." ~David Stanley Bell ~
"All pain has
a purpose, a lesson.
To seek security and safety from pain
is to isolate ourselves from the voice of spirit.
We need to embrace our pain, accept it as our own, mourn
the loss,
understand the purpose of the pain and then release the
pain." ~David Stanley Bell ~
"It is said that we learn through pain
until we evolve to learn through joy."
~ Buddhist Saying ~
